An Estate Planning Attorney Who Treats You Like Family
Licensed in North Carolina since 2009.
Estate planning shouldn’t feel transactional or rushed. At Lotus Legacy Law, every client receives personal attention and thoughtful guidance tailored to their unique circumstances, goals, and concerns. You work directly with Attorney Kim Le throughout the process, not passed between assistants or departments.
Kim has been licensed by the North Carolina State Bar since 2009. She earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before focusing on estate planning, she represented individuals and families in disability law, helping them pursue benefits during some of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
Having come to the United States from Vietnam at age 13, Kim knows firsthand how overwhelming legal decisions can feel without the right guidance. She combines legal knowledge with a compassionate, relationship-centered approach, and takes the time to listen and understand what matters most to you. Whether you’re planning for your family’s future or want to learn about your options, she’s here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
What Happens If You Don't Have an Estate Plan?
If something happened to you tomorrow, would your loved ones know what to do?
- Would North Carolina law decide who inherits your assets?
- Would a court choose who raises your children?
- Would your family have to go through probate?
- Would anyone be able to make financial or medical decisions for you?
Without a will, trust, or power of attorney in place, these decisions can end up with the court instead of the people you trust.
At Lotus Legacy Law, Attorney Kim Le helps families in Cary and throughout North Carolina create a plan that keeps these decisions in your hands.

Estate Planning Services in Cary, NC
We offer estate planning services tailored to your life, your values, and your family’s future. From our office in Cary, we serve clients in Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Raleigh, and Durham, and work virtually with families in Charlotte, Greensboro, Wilmington, and throughout North Carolina.
Wills
A will lets you name an executor, choose guardians for minor children, and decide who receives your assets. It clearly documents your wishes and helps minimize confusion, delays, and conflict for your loved ones.
Trust Planning
A revocable living trust lets you keep control of your assets during your lifetime while helping your loved ones avoid probate. You name a successor trustee to manage the trust if you become incapacitated or pass away, providing privacy and long-term protection for beneficiaries.
Special Needs Planning
We help families create plans for loved ones with disabilities or special needs, including special needs trusts, while preserving eligibility for government benefits such as SSI and Medicaid.
Financial Power of Attorney
A durable financial power of attorney authorizes someone you trust to manage your financial and legal matters if you become incapacitated. It can help avoid court-appointed guardianship and keep your affairs running smoothly.
Healthcare Power of Attorney
A healthcare power of attorney appoints someone you trust to make medical decisions for you if you can't communicate your wishes, giving your family clarity during medical emergencies.
Living Will
A living will documents your wishes about life-sustaining treatment and end-of-life care, helping your loved ones and medical providers honor your preferences.
Trust Funding Assistance
Creating a trust is only part of the process. We help you properly fund your trust by retitling assets such as your home and accounts, and coordinating beneficiary designations so your plan works as intended.
Probate Assistance
Losing a loved one is difficult, and probate can feel overwhelming. We guide families through estate administration in North Carolina, including filings with the Clerk of Superior Court, creditor notices, and asset transfers, making the process as smooth as possible.
Guardianship Planning for Children
For parents of minor children, naming a guardian is one of the most important parts of an estate plan. We help you choose trusted guardians and provide guidance for your children's care, creating stability if the unexpected happens.
Who We Help
You don’t need tremendous wealth to benefit from an estate plan. You just need people you care about.
Parents of Young Children
You want peace of mind knowing your children will be cared for by people you trust if something happens to you. A will lets you name a guardian for your minor children, and a trust can make sure resources are available to support their future.
Homeowners
Your home may be your family’s most valuable asset. A revocable living trust can help your home pass according to your wishes and avoid probate, reducing delays and unnecessary expenses for your loved ones.
Growing Families
Marriage, children, and major life changes bring new responsibilities. An estate plan, with updated beneficiary designations, helps protect the people who depend on you and keeps your wishes clearly documented as your family grows.
Business Owners
You’ve worked hard to build your business. Estate planning helps coordinate your personal and business affairs, protecting your family’s interests and the legacy you’ve created.
Families Caring for a Loved One with Special Needs
If you have a child or family member with special needs, a special needs trust can provide long-term support while preserving eligibility for benefits such as SSI and Medicaid.
Blended Families
Blended families have unique planning needs, especially when balancing a current spouse and children from prior relationships. A clear plan helps make sure your wishes are carried out, minimizes conflict, and provides clarity for everyone.

My husband and I employed Kim's services for setting up a trust for our estate. We were very impressed with her professionalism, her knowledge, the speed and efficiency with which she did everything plus the special attention she gave us because we are elderly. Her competency was head and shoulders above all lawyers we have used in the past for many issues. We highly recommend her!Posted on Google![]()

I’ve worked with Kim and watched how she handles clients. She is the kind of lawyer who actually listens to her clients and puts in the work to get it right. She goes beyond what’s required, not for show, but because she genuinely cares about outcomes. That’s rare. I’d refer anyone to her, including my own family.Posted on Google![]()
