Beyond the law, I am a wife, mother and daughter. I live in Cary with my husband and son. I can’t live without coffee and haven’t learned how to say no to chocolate. A walk in nature and a day at the beach are my favorite ways to recharge.

Hi! My name is Kim Le, and I founded Lotus Legacy Law with the belief that estate planning is a deeply personal endeavor – one that should be rooted in trust and guided with compassion.

I know firsthand how overwhelming major legal and financial decisions can feel when you are navigating complex systems without much guidance. I came to the United States from Vietnam at age 13 and spent much of my adolescence helping my parents navigate language barriers, paperwork, and unfamiliar institutions – all while adapting to an entirely new culture myself.

Those early years shaped the way I live and practice law. They taught me to look for the humanity in our differences, to approach problems not as black and white but with nuance, and to lead with the understanding that everyone’s story deserves to be heard. More than anything, they also taught me what it truly means to have an advocate in your corner who takes the time to listen and meet you where you are.

Estate planning is so much more than a collection of documents filled with legal jargon. It is a collaborative process of gathering information and making future-oriented decisions – a way of securing peace of mind and making sure the people you care about most are protected for whatever lies ahead. Whatever your goals may be, I am committed to bringing the same care and intention to your situation that I would give my own.

Before focusing exclusively on estate planning, I spent nearly a decade consulting with law firms and companies on business compliance in Vietnam and cross-border litigation. This work was highly analytical, requiring sharp strategy and close collaboration with diverse teams to deliver results under significant pressure.

Earlier in my career, from 2009 to 2014, I worked in disability law, representing individuals and families in their pursuit of benefits during some of the most vulnerable periods of their lives. At its core, this work is about dignity and access – and it reinforced my belief that the practice of law, done well, is fundamentally an act of service.

I am proud to bring those same values to my estate planning practice. My goal is to make the process approachable, comfortable, and centered around you. Good planning starts with good conversations, and I look forward to beginning ours.

This is my favorite photo of my parents and me – taken in Vietnam when I was nine. I lost my father to cancer in 2019, and I carry his lessons about life and work with me every day.
